7. September – 12. November – in Prague’s U modré hvězdy hotel operated as a daguerreotypist Josef Weninger, painter from Vienna. He was probably the first traveling daguerreotypist in Bohemia, who traveled from Prague to the north and finally settled in St. Petersburg (1850). This traveling daguerreotypist wrote consistently “aus Prag” during his stops in Poland. Bohemia newspaper on the 14.9.1841 wrote about the painter J. Weinger from Vienna.
