Bedřich Franz created a daguerreotype of the Corpus Christi day at the Zelný Trh in Brno, the first picture of an event captured in the Czech lands by a photographer, and one of the first ones of its type in the world. Franz created also portraits, which are the oldest preserved portrait pictures in the Czech lands.
