July - the photographical section of the Czech-Slavonic Ethnographical Exhibition accepted the challenge to Gentlemen photographers-amateurs in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia for photo document for the purposes of the Ethnographical Exhibition, which influenced many amateur and professional photographers. The challenge was first published in the Fotografický obzor (Photographical Review).
